   Quickstep:2e is priced at US$100.00 per concurrent end user.
                                There is no charge for the development license.

We believe that this represents outstanding value for CA:2E users.

SASIT has been developing software applications in CA:2E since 1988 and, in our opinion, it is one of the best tools available for writing business systems. However, there is one major weakness - it does not automatically generate a full functioned GUI.

To solve this problem SASIT spent an enormous amount of time investigating the various screen scrapers and other products on the market. It was very important that the product would be easy to program and manage, would integrate readily with other client software and would provide a real full functioned GUI at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately none of the available products met all of our criteria. So we set about developing a solution ourselves. The result is Quickstep:2e.

When it comes to generating GUI displays for CA:2E generated software, no other product combines the functionality, elegance, ease of management, and cost effectiveness of Quickstep:2e. Computer Associates, the suppliers of CA:2E, have worked closely with us and have certified Quickstep:2e as a "ca smart" solution.

As an added bonus, Quickstep:2e GUI sessions run as batch jobs, so they use no interactive CPU capacity. Applying Quickstep:2e to your systems can eliminate the need to purchase expensive interactive capacity upgrades for your existing IBM i machines.  For many CA:2E users these cost savings will more than pay for Quickstep:2e. The GUI is essentially free.

  • The user license fee (US$100.00 per concurrent user) is a one time only charge and includes 1 year of free upgrades and support.
  • User licenses are sold in minimum lots of 5 licenses.
  • There is no charge for the development license.
  • Once the initial free service period has expired, on going support is available through our Quickstep Users Program.
  • The Quickstep Users Program provides on going upgrades and support for an annual service fee (15% of the license fee per concurrent user).
  • Purchasing user licenses does not obligate any customer to join the Quickstep Users Program.
