Want to see Quickstep:2e in action?

The online Quickstep:2e demonstration allows you to connect to an SAS^IT IBM i over the internet and explore a working CA:2E application (the famous race horse tutorial) that has been given the Quickstep:2e treatment.

 To view the online demonstration:

(1) Download the self-extracting zip file Quickstep_Demo.exe (1.2MB) containing the Quickstep:2e client. 
(The Sun Java Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.4 or higher, available free from the Sun website, is required to run this demo)

Or Download the self-extracting zip file Quickstep_Demo_Plus_JVM.exe (21.1MB) containing the Quickstep client and the SUN Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2.
(We recommend you use your default JVM. This option is provided for use when you have no JVM installed or when your default JVM is prior to Sun JRE 1.4.0)

(2) Run the downloaded .exe file. This will create a new directory called 'client' on your C: drive.

(3) Double-click on the Demo.bat file located in the new 'C:client' directory to start your session.

(4) When prompted, enter 'demo' as the password to gain access to the system.

Troubleshooting:

Firewalls: Your firewall must allow communication on ports 8475, 8476 and 449 for the demo to operate.

Proxy Servers: Your proxy server may interfere with the operation of the demo. If this happens, you need to run the demo on a machine with direct internet access.
